Personal injury attorney and motivational speaker Willie Gary will be honored during the third annual Katie Hall Public Service Awards Luncheon at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4, at the Genesis Convention Center, 1 Genesis Plaza, in Gary.

Gary, of the civil law firm Gary, Williams, Parenti, Watson and Gary, PLLC, of Stuart, Fla., is known as "the giant killer" for taking down some of America's most powerful corporations on behalf of his clients and winning some of the largest jury awards and settlements in U.S. history. His legal career has been documented on national news programs and articles and he was named one of the "Top 50 Attorneys in the U.S." by Forbes magazine and one of Ebony magazine's "100 Most Influential Americans."

Gary will be presented with the Chairman's Award.
